Swisse stands by its evidence
March 11, 2012
You may have read a story in the press this weekend about a recent decision handed down by the Complaints Resolutions Panel (CRP) – a panel that is part of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) – our over-arching industry body.
The decision was in response to complaints that questioned some of the claims we made in our advertising.
We believe we were not given the opportunity to provide evidence to support our advertising claims.
We stand by our evidence and strongly disagree with the decision.
On Friday, the CRP gave an undertaking to the court to pull the decision from its website and to keep it down until the matter returns to court on Wednesday.
Innovative Swisse Retail iPad Application boosts customers’ in-store experience
March 8, 2012
Swisse, Australia’s number one health and wellbeing brand, is introducing a Retail Pharmacy first – a fully interactive Swisse iPad Application that customers can access directly for product and related information addressing specific health needs, at the point of purchase.
Running on an Apple iPad installed in Swisse’s premium in-store display unit, the Swisse iPad App will be rolled out across 200 top pharmacies by April, 2012 – with an expectation of being in over 1,000 stores by June.
Offering two main functionalities, the Swisse Retail iPad App enables customers to not only search for Swisse product information such as product benefits, an ingredients list, directions for use, warnings and contraindication and frequently asked questions – but can also help them to find specific products that address their individual health needs. All a customer has to do is answer four simple questions about their health and the Swisse Retail iPad App will select the product(s) that best fit their requirements.
As big supporters of Australian retail, Swisse has always looked to innovative ways of improving not only the customer’s experience but also the quality, timeliness and relevance of the product advice they receive at point of purchase. The Swisse Retail iPad App is the ideal solution to directly communicate with today’s busy consumers while they’re in a pharmacy, in front of product and ready to purchase.
Radek Sali, Swisse CEO, stated, “Put simply, we wanted to offer our customers a convenient and fun way of accessing information on our products in a way that directly empowers them to take positive action for their own health. Swisse is also a carbon-balanced company and it was important for us to look into ways that directly reduced printed materials. And our innovative Swisse Retail iPad App does the job perfectly.”
The Apple platform was chosen as Swisse considers Apple to be at the forefront of consumer technology –being simple to use, stylish and a product known to excite. Just like Swisse.
Swisse Spring Racing in the Sisterhood
September 5, 2011
Media Release – 2 September 2011
Swisse launched its association with the Melbourne Cup Carnival at a gala cocktail party tonight as the vitamin company launched its partnership with a new national charity campaign.
From September 12th until October 9th, Swisse will donate $10 from every Swisse product purchased at Priceline to the Sisterhood campaign.
The sisterhood campaign led by Priceline raises money for charities identified by Australian women as important to them.
The four charities able to receive donations are:
Alzheimer’s Australia, Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation, Look Good .. Feel Better and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
Swisse will simply donate the $10 to the chosen charity at the direction of each customer when they purchase the Swisse item at any Priceline store.
For one lucky Swisse shopper, Swisse will donate an additional $50,000 to their chosen sisterhood charity.
“Customers do not even need to dig into their own pockets. Swisse will simply donate the money from every single Swisse product purchased at Priceline during the promotion,” said Swisse Brand and Media Manager Mitch Catlin.
“We are thrilled to be supporting such worthwhile charities and supporting issues important to Australian women,” he said.
The Swisse Sisterhood campaign is being fronted by Bondi Vet Dr. Chris Brown

Swisse will host a Birdcage marquee for the first time in 2011, created by Melbourne’s favourite designers J’Aton.
200 VIP guests, celebrities, racing identities and socials gathered at the brand new Morris Jones on Chapel Street for the red carpet cocktail party to mark Swisse’s involvement.
Special guests on the night included New York model Ashley Hart, Swisse Ambassador Sonia Kruger, singer Zoe Badwi, Melbourne designers J’Aton, Arthur and Mimi Galan, Yeojin Bae and Dom Bagnato, milliners Kerrie Stanley and Richard Nylon, TV personalities Brodie Harper and Heath Meldrum, Glen Moriaty, Kim Watkins, Stephen Quartermain, Nick Giannopoulos, Nick Bracks and a host of sporting personalities and AFL footballers including Josh Gibson, Lance Franklin and Nick and Rachel Holland.
